PT Citra Semarak Sejati was created to operate mainly in the cut and fill industry, level- ing Batam’s many hills to prepare for fresh infra- structure and development of the island’s cities. This company was also involved in the construction of the runway and taxiway of Batam’s Hang Nadim International Airport.

Anticipating the growing need to devel- op buildings for businesses, industrial areas, and neighborhoods on the island of Batam, PT Citra Semarak Sejati opened up a developer company by the name of PT Centre Sarana Sejati. PT Centre Sarana Sejati focused on the building of elite neighborhoods, industrial areas, business developments (rukos), and a storage facility in the city center of the island.

Taking into account the rapid growth of the electronics industry on the island of Batam, PT Putra Flonara Perkasa was created to oper- ate in the trade industry of the island. This com- pany focused mainly on the trade of machinery and electronics.

PT Citra Shipyard was created to take advantage of Batam’s strategic location in relation to Singapore for the repairing and production of ships. Opening up in a strategic location, this company has since developed to produce a wide variety of ships including: Tug- boats, LCT, Pontoons, Aluminium Vessels, Rescue Vessels, Crew Boats, Patrol Boats, Tank- ers, SPOB, CPO Barges, and ships for the military. One of the Rescue Boats made by Citra Shipyard was even inaugurated by the then President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Seeing new opportunities in the freight shipping industry, PT. Citra Maritime was creat- ed. Consisting of an armada of 18 tugboats and barges, Oil tankers, Oil barges and CPO barges, this maritime shipping company rents out a portion of their vessels for time charter, voyage charter, and even the transporting of granite and other materials.

In order to support the growing construction and developer businesses owned by the group, PT Citra Beton was created. This company, providing pre-made and ready mixed concrete was formed in order to take advan- tage of the many opportunities created by a rapidly growing real estate market on the island of Batam.

With the intention of supporting the purchase of shipbuilding materials, PT Citra Marindo was created to operate in the trade industry. Overtime, this company has grown to have many customers and is currently the sole distributor of Beltran brand oil on the island of Batam.

The CSS Group is currently developing a branch of their company that will focus on supporting the Oil and Gas Industry. They have prepared a 42-hectare location in the Kabil region of Batam that will be used specifi- cally for the construction of means to support the Oil and Gas industry.
